Career Presentations
Sessions presented by Career Services staff include:

  • Day/evening presentations
  • Faculty may contact Career Services to present career-related topics to their class if they are unable to hold class
  • Arrangements for alumni and/or professionals to speak to a class or student groups regarding career possibilities in programs co-sponsored with academic departments and/or student organizations

Support for Academic Advisement
Faculty advisors who have career-related questions when advising students may refer them to Career Services for assistance.

Fieldwork Opportunities for Students
Support for faculty seeking to offer opportunities for students to get first-hand, career-related information and experience includes:

  • Assistance in locating and developing appropriate opportunities
  • Assistance with all aspects of the application process

Career Planning and Self Assessment
FOCUS-2
is an online, interactive career and education planning system that combines self assessment, career exploration and decision making into one comprehensive program. FOCUS-2 assists students in mapping out a career path and selecting an appropriate area of study to support their career goals careerservices.sunyit.edu/focus2.swn

Career Fair
Career Fair is a yearly event that provides students and alumni the opportunity to explore careers, to meet perspective employers, and to learn about full-time, part-time, and summer employment including internship and co-op opportunities. The next Career Fair is scheduled for March 18, 2010.
